Strength training over 50 and exercise for seniors is crucial. As we get older our bodies begin to break down. Lean muscle mass and bone density decreases, and range of motion in the joints is reduced. It is my understanding that this is the beginning of a slippery slope towards sickness. The baby-boomer generation is specifically at risk due to increased work and time demands that produce stress and strain on the body.

 

When working with middle-aged and older adults my goal is to rejuvenate; I focus on teaching people how to sit, stand, lunge, crawl, and walk more efficiently while improving muscular strength, overall stamina, and joint flexibility. Strength training over 50  and exercise for seniors helps my clients complete tasks in daily life, like picking things up and putting things down with greater safety and ease. In our sessions I will work closely with you to harness movements that leave you feeling supported in your own body. My hope is to help you understand safe movement and teach you to mindfully do so in a way that allows you to enjoy life’s activities and feel more youthful as you grow older.
